The former Wimbledon finalist, Berdych returned from an injury layoff at the beginning of the season but has been experiencing more problems playing just 2 matches since Indian Wells. He returned last week losing 2 exhibition matches to Bautista-Agut and Shapovalov. He has fallen to No. 112 in the ATP rankings and we don’t expect him to qualify in the 2nd round.

Bernarda Pera vs Maria Sakkari – Sakkari to win at 1.4

Sakkari is enjoying a great year and she enters this Grand Slam in great from and ready to have a deep run. She won 3 of her 6 grass-court matches this season. She possesses a great serve which is a huge advantage on grass, she’s moving well, and we expect her to at least qualify in the 3rd round. Pera hasn’t played much on grass during her career and there’s no chance Pera can pull off the upset and beat Sakkari in the 1st round.

Yulia Putintseva vs Naomi Osaka – Putintseva +4.5 games AH at 1.6

Putintseva beat Osaka few week ago and bringing the head-to-head record against the former No. 1 WTA Naomi Osaka to 2-0. Osaka has always struggled to play good on grass and she enters this tournament out of shape playing just 2 matches since her round of 16 Roland Garros defeat against Siniakova. She is expected to have another difficult match against Putintseva who should be able to cover the +4.5 games AH line.

Round 1 Treble 2 – Total Odds 3.26

Best Odds: Betfair

Petra Martic vs Jennifer Brady – Martic to win at 1.48

Martic is in brilliant form, she’s playing the best tennis of her life and is once again expected to bring her A game and repeat the great Roland Garros run where is played the quarter finals. Both players enter this tournament in great grass-court from having played semifinals in Birmingham and Nottingham, respectively. Petra should have the necessary weapons to beat Brady and qualify in the 2nd round in 2 sets.

Magdalena Rybarikova vs Aryna Sabalenka – Sabalenka to win at 1.44

Sabalenka is back in top shape and we expect her easily qualify in the 2nd round of the tournament. Her powerful shots, her great skills and talent should be enough to beat Rybarikova who retired accusing fitness problems after losing the first set 6-1 to Astra Sharma in Nottingham.

Tamara Zidansek vs Eugenie Bouchard – Zidansek to win at 1.53

Eugenie Bouchard played just 11 WTA matches this season winning just 3 in the process. She enters this match on the back of 5 defeats in a row losing in the 1st rounds at Indian Wells and Roland Garros and qualifications at Miami Open and Eastbourne but happily for her and her fans she’s known for her social media skills. Zidansek is by far the better player and the value is on her so she completes our 2nd treble.
