US Open Final Stages – Tennis Odds Analysis And Betting Tips

After more than one week of exciting tennis, the US Open Quarter-Finals get underway this Tuesday in Flushing Meadows. Let’s take a look now to the highest value players left in the competition.

Men’s Competition
Everything went according to plan on the men’s side, with the two main favourites – Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray – reaching this stage of the competition without facing any major problems.

After struggling with some physical issues on the opening round against Jerzy Janowicz, Djokovic appears at this stage of the competition at 100%, after playing only one match in the previous three rounds. Taking a look now to Novak’s draw, the Serbian should face two French players until the final – Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gael Monfils.

On the other hand, Murray reaches this stage of the competition after a superb performance against Grigor Dimitrov; however, the next two rounds won’t be easy for Andy, with the British facing Kei Nishikori and the winner of the match between Stan Wawrinka and Juan Martin Del Potro.

Looking now to the prices available for these two players to win the US Open, Djokovic is priced at 2.10 at Bet365 while Murray is offered at 2.38 at William Hill. Both players have a difficult draw until the final yet, Andy is clearly the one with a tougher task. Adding to this, Djokovic holds an outstanding 24 – 10 lead over Murray on the h2h, which cannot be undervalued, especially when considering that Novak won 80.0% of their previous encounters on Grand Slam events.

With this in mind, Djokovic is clearly the highest value player and for that reason, we should see him leaving New York with his 13th Grand Slam career title.

Women’s Competitions
Despite the initial concerns regarding Serena Williams’ physical condition, the world no.1 appeared in New York close to her best level, with the American reaching this quarter-finals without losing her serve a single time.

From the three players considered as Serena’s main threats – Angelique Kerber, Simona Halep and Garbine Muguruza – only the Spaniard is out after a disappointing 2nd round loss against Anastasija Sevastova.

Looking now to Serena’s draw on this event, a very interesting contest is expected in the quarter-finals against Halep. Even though Halep is having a very successful summer in North-America, the Romanian doesn’t seem to have the required mental strength to defeat Serena, especially on Grand Slam event.
After defeating Venus Williams in the 4th round, Karolina Pliskova might face Serena in the semi-finals. It has been a dream month for Pliskova who won the Western & Southern Open a few weeks ago, however, Serena should revenge her sisters’ loss and book a place at the US Open final for the 9th time in her career.

Taking a look now to the bottom half of the draw, Angelique Kerber is the favourite to reach the final yet, Caroline Wozniacki can never be underestimated after her brilliant run. These two players know each other well and even though Angelique deserves to be the favourite, there is clear value on Caroline’s odds to reach the final at 5.00 at Bet365 while Kerber can be found at 1.40 at Bet365.

Regardless of who Serena faces in the final – Kerber or Wozniacki – the American should be too strong for any of them and for that reason, our suggestion is for you to take advantage of Williams’ price to win her 23rd Grand Slam title at 1.73 at Coral.
